George Kaaikala "Kala" Watanabe, 89, of Honolulu, a retired Verizon cable splicer, died. He was born in Watertown, Oahu. He is survived by wife Janet, son George, sister Marie L. Nuuhiwa and a grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m Thursday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire.
