Steven "Canary" Matthew Hernandez, 72, of Mountain View, Hawaii, formerly of Kalihi, died April 25, 2022, at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Mason/Tile Setter for The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 Hawaii. Visitation from 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; funeral service at 4 p.m. Cremation to follow Saturday, May 14, 2022. Casual attire. No flowers. He is survived by children, Crystal N. Meacham of Las Vegas, Stephanie K. (Devin) Worsham of Makaha, Emitt K. (Staci Gushiken) Hernandez of Kurtistown; sisters, Diane M. Mesa of Makaha, Rosita H.
