After 9-11, he got a job with the State of Hawaii, DAGS and transferred to DOT/Airport. In 2012, John landed his dream job with the Honolulu Highways Crew.
John was very talented, a jack of all trades. He liked working with his hands, fixing, tinkering and constructing. Great at macgyvering. He loved to listen to music, play his ukulele with family and friends. He enjoyed playing pool at our own street - Korner Pocket. He was a great cook, certain dishes will be missed. His grandchildren will surely miss his special banana pancakes.
