He was a Korean War veteran. Upon returning home from Korea, he graduated from the Pearl Harbor Apprenticeship Program. He accepted an opportunity to work in the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Design Division as a Naval Architect where he retired after 45 years total of Military and Government Service. He was a devoted husband of 66 years to wife Martha.
He is survived by 5 children: Victor (Evelyn) Carvalho, Jr., Calvin M. Carvalho, Alita A. Carvalho, David W. Carvalho & Lynette M. Carvalho. 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter, many Hanai Grandchildren, and brother, Corsino "Sonny" Carvalho.
Wake Service: Visitation: 6:00 p.m. Services: 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Mililani Makai Chapel.
Mass: Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Mass: 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Waipahu. Reception to follow at the Carvalho residence in Harbor View, Waipahu.
Inurnment/Military Honors: National Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl on December 29, 2022, 11:30 am. Aloha Attire requested. No flowers.
