High Chief Moeafusia Fa'atauva'a Atonio Utoafili was born in Fagaitua, American Samoa on May 14, 1931 to Atonio Mapu and Katerina Utoafili. He got married in 1950 to his wife, Tuamauga Utoafili, who predeceased him in 2004. They had 7 children, of which one of his sons, Asela Utoafili, passed away at a very young age. He is survived by his daughters: Teresa (David) Roe, Anovale losefa, Fa'atauva'a (Nuumau) Lealao, Tua (Richard) Atisano'e; and sons, Jimmy (Koli) Maugaleo'o, Fa'afetai (Patricia) Utoafili 18 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren.Vigil service will be held at Malaesaili Church (Nanakuli) on Sunday, 12/11/2022 from 3:00 p.m. and funeral service to follow the next day, Monday 12/12/2022 at 10:00 AM.
