FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Esperanza “Espe” Sipin
Esperanza 89, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022. Born in Santa, Ilocus Sur, Philippines. Preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Gregoria, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Fortunato "Tony" Sipin, who passed away on September 30, 2022.

She retired as a special education teacher with the Dept. Of Education after 23 years. She was an active parishioner of St. Anthony Church Kalihi and member of the Oahu Filipino Catholic Club, serving in various leadership roles and committees. Espe and Tony loved volunteering and sharing their faith. After retirement, they enjoyed traveling the world, visiting over 50 countries.

Espe's most treasured roles were as a loving and supportive wife, mom and grandma. Espe will be deeply missed, but she and Tony left a wonderful example of how to live life, with a steadfast faith in God, working hard and loving unconditionally, to support family and friends.

Survived by her son, Andrew, daughters, Joyce (Edgar) Aquino and Michele (Stephan) Hoffmann, 8 grandchildren, and brother, Pedro (Adoracion) Bagoyo.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Anthony Church Kalihi on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Visitation: 9:30am, Services: 10:30am, Mass: 11:00am. Burial: 2:00pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
