Henry Masao Nitta, 91, was born in Hilo and passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023, in Honolulu surrounded by his loving family. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he received his law degree from George Washington University and returned to Hawaii to work as an attorney for the State of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Mary Ann; son Kevin and daughter Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Asako Nitta, and brother, Earl (Gail). His sharp mind, love of food, and musical talents will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Pualei Care Home for filling his days with laughter, friendship and especially music.
