Janice Fumie (Goya) Ganeku passed away on July 14, 2020 at Kuakini Medical Center. Janice was born in Hakalau, Hawaii on the Big Island on December 7, 1935. She was a 1953 graduate of Hilo High School. Retired from Times Supermarket office. Janice also worked for Chandlers Shoes, Hawaii Egg Processors, Marcus Steak House.Preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ernest S. Janice is survived by her three sons: Patrick (Doris Hokama), Garrett (Celeste Parker), Nathan (Theresa Gonzales). Eight grand- children: Christopher, Jennifer, Kelsen, Kelli Anne (Logan) Murakami, Kody, Jared, Gunner and Olivia. Brother, Taro (Helen) Goya and sister, Sue Anne (Thomas) Shiroma.
She was a happy, beautiful, loving, wonderful mom, the best mother-in-law, super-great grand- mother, sister & friend! She will be remembered for her delicious, totemo oishii, ono-licious meals. Grammas Goya chicken, sushi, kobu maki to list a few!
Service will be on Tuesday, April 4, 2023; 6pm at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Face masks are required.
