Myrtle Piilani Bettencourt, 80, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retiree and former employee of Honey's, Haiku Gardens, Germaine's Luau, Cattlemen's Steakhouse and Honokaa Club, died. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Stephen "Stemo," Lindsay, Bruce and Leabert Lindsey, and Tony Bettencourt; daughters Stephanie Lindsey and Francine Stagg; sister Gay Buck; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and four hanai grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at Imiola Church, Waimea. Services: 10 a.m. Paina to follow at 1 p.m.
