He was a graduate of Iolani High School, City College of San Francisco and the Culinary Institute of America. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by son Kevin and daughter Lianne; sister Vivian Kekina; grandsons Matthew and Michael. Private services to be held at Diamond Head Mortuary.
