ALYCE LEE KIMALYCE LEE KIM
Alyce Lee Kim, beloved wife of departed Attorney and Sports writer, William 'Bill' Kim, died peacefully in her sleep on Christmas day .
Born in 1925 to Bong Soon and Yung Soo Lee in Hakalau on the Big Island, Alyce Oak Soon Lee graduated from McKinley on Oahu, and worked as a teller at Bishop Nat'l Bank. There she met Bill Kim, a young boxing promoter, and sports writer. They married at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace in 1945.
In 1965, her beloved Bill died prematurely, and Alyce began a 20+ year career at United Airlines. She was a member of the Korean University Club, and a devout parishioner of St. Stephen's church. Blessed with a flair for fashion and admired for her beauty, Alyce loved to travel, and enjoyed classical music, the ballet, and Korean TV soap operas.
Alyce, a devoted mother of 3 children, Willyce, William, and Carmel, is survived by her sister, Grace Kukonu, and her brother, Charles Lee. Private services.
