Frank Kamahele, 81, of Kailua-Kona, a retired Air Force pilot and a retired state airport district manager, died at home. He was born in Puna, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Betty; son Wayne; daughters Janyce Kamahele and Sharon Kamahele-Toriano; hanai sons Harold Caravalho and James Ishii; brothers Richard Elderts Figuero and Joseph Elderts; sisters Blanche DeConte, Verdarine Ornellas and Puanani Mukai; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kona Outdoor Circle. Services: 3 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
