Melvin Hisao Kiyabu, 86, of Kaneohe, a retired Federal Aviation Administration electronic technician, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Lavern S., sons Gordon H. and Gary M., daughters Patricia L. Abrams and Barbara A. Sonognini, brothers Franklin H. and Herbert H., sister Juliet H. Mickelsen, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
