Arnold LeRoy Howard, 87, of Punaluu, Hawaii, an auto mechanic at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, retired firetruck mechanic at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe and a Navy veteran, died in Kau Hospital. He was born in Kaneohe. He is survived by wife Jeanette; sons Guy, Gayland and JonPall Enriques; daughters Nana Silva, Kehau Salter, Laurita Mulder, Patricia Martin, Myrajean Sumida and Lani Iona; brother the Rev. Henry Boshard; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Sunday at Hokuloa Chapel above the Punaluu Beach Park pavilions. Sturdy walking shoes recommended.
