Jose Corpuz "Papa Joe" Ilar, 89, of Kahului, a fisherman, farmer and retired tractor operator at Hawaiian Cane and Sugar Co., died in Kahului. He was born in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is survived by wife Shirley A., sons Jose S.A. and Jonathan A., adopted son Teodoro B., seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Saturday at Ballard Family Mortuary.
