FRANCES KIM YUK PILIALOHA POINA’OLE IMAMURAFRANCES KIM YUK PILIALOHA POINA'OLE IMAMURA
Frances K.Y.P.P. Imamura of Mililani gracefully crossed over to the light on April 22, 2012 ending her challenging journey with cancer. She passed on peacefully surrounded by those she loved at the age of 64.
Born and raised on the island of Maui in the Hana, Keanae and Wailuku areas, she later moved to Oahu and graduated from Chaminade University and the University of Hawaii-Manoa as an educator. She retired from the DOE teaching in various schools in the Central Oahu District area and ended her career at Wahiawa Elementary.
A loving wife, mother, "puna" and an unforgettable friend she embraced and touched the lives of all she met. She was a person of beauty inside and out but simple in taste. In keeping with her "no fuss" philosophy, graveside services will be held on July 14, 2012 at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 10:30 am in celebration of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dennis, sons Gavan and daughter-in-law Liane (Auyong) and Ryan and daughter-in-law Roretta (Sihombing). She was a loving and proud "Puna" of Cameron Aoki, Katerina Imamura, Avy Imamura and Harley Imamura. She is also survived by her mother, Leimomi Medeiros and brothers Elmer "Joey" Ching, Marvin "Bully" Ching and Issac Ching; nieces and nephews.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
