FREDERICK K. LEEFREDERICK K. LEE
85, of Honolulu died suddenly on May 20, 2012. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen, stepdaughter, Charlene (Marshall) Moran, stepson, Richard Robello, sister, Lila Lee, nephew, Marcus Lee, and three grandchildren, Ryan (Maile) Moran, Paul Moran, and Shoshana Robello. Graduated Punahou High School in 1944 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy. Served on sub-tender, USS Proteus, which escorted the battleship Missouri during official WWII surrender ceremonies. Graduated from University of Hawaii and began his labor career at the Hawaii Newspaper Guild, then joined the ILWU. Spent 20 years as an ILWU contract administrator and retired in 1989. Served many years on Rehab Hospital of the Pacific Board of Trustees and served on numerous ILWU retiree and political action committees for 23 years up until his death. Also volunteered with St. Pius Church to feed the homeless. Visitation:10:30am, June 14 at St. Pius X Church, 2821 Lowrey Avenue. Services at 11:30am.
