Kirt Kalii Garcia Kaanoi, 38, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Honolulu, a chef and security guard, died. He was born in HonoÂlulu. He is survived by sons Kekoa, Keahi, Kaniela "Chad" and Kalii; father Richard Garcia; mother Derlene Yuk Lin-Kaanoi; hanai mother Barbara Fuller; brothers Lance, Patrick, Earl, Kalani, Jarrend and Buzzy Boy Kaanoi, and Richard Boy, Oscar, Paul E., Charles and Jake Garcia; sisters Kina Kaanoi-Richards, Carol Kaanoi-Magalei and Genise Garcia; and grandparent Violet Pahia. Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Cremation to follow. Scattering of ashes: 11 a.m. Saturday near Kaiona Beach Park, Waimanalo.
