DR. EILEEN MARIE GUPTONDR. EILEEN MARIE GUPTON
61, of Ewa Beach, HI, passed October 15, 2012 at the Texas Heart Instititue, Houston, TX of heart failure. Dr. Gupton was a native of Lynn, MA, born to the late Edmund and Emily McCabe. She was educated at Sacred Heart School, Salem State University, Central Texas University, and the University of Mississippi earning a doctoral degree in psychology. She was a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and operated a private clinical psychology practice in Aiea, HI. She was also a contract police psychologist for the Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu, HI. Dr. Gupton was an active Catholic and served as a Minister of Music for over 30 years. Fr. Camillus Gott, Fr. Adam Bunnell and Fr. John Keenan will officiate at a funeral service at the Ft. DeRussy Chapel, Waikiki, HI at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012. She was married to Dr. Herbert M. Gupton on November 28, 1981, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a step-son, Steven Gupton and step-daugher, Kathryn Gupton, both of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren, and two sisters, Claire Donohue, Salem, NH, and Karen Hare, Cape Elizabeth, ME, four nephews, and one niece.
