Richard Masayuki Tanaka, 87, of Honaunau, Hawaii, a retired Kona Hilton Hotel assistant bell captain, coffee farmer, National Guard veteran and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in a private care home in Kailua-Kona. He was born in Keei, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Pat and Robert; daughter Barbara Peterson; sisters Kay Sugai, Doris Yamashita and Misao Matsumoto; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Kona Hongwanji Mission in Kealakekua, Hawaii. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
