Yoshiyuki Tomiyama, also known as "Tommy" and "Papoose," 89, of Kailua, a retired technical librarian at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion Company C, died in Kohala, Hawaii. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by wife Carolyn "Skip"; sons Terry-john, Bruce and Brian Tomiyama, and Neal Auld; daughters Sharon Goodman, Kwaj Perez, Judy Morris and Kay Brooks; brother James Nishimura; sisters Judy Bertelmann and Karen Nishimura; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Feb. 16 at Gospel of Salvation Church, Kokoiki. Services: 10:30 a.m. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Feb. 24 at Club 100, 520 Kamoku St., Honolulu. Services: 10:30 a.m. Private interment. No flowers.
