GAIL ELIZABETH WEBERGAIL ELIZABETH WEBER
Dec. 15, 1943 to Nov. 20, 2012 Gail Elizabeth Weber of Winchester, MA, passed away November 20, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. After graduating from Chaminade University in Honolulu in 1967, Gail worked for the Batelle Memorial Institute in Bangkok, Thailand before moving to Boston and beginning her long career with New England Life (also know as The New England, since merged with Metropolitan Life). At TNE, Gail was chosen to be the first Equal Opportunity Officer for Women, inaugurating a program, which assisted in recruiting, promoting and supporting women in the organization. She was later promoted to several positions in senior management in Human Resources, and became the company's first female Senior Vice President, with responsibilities for Human Resources and Facilities. She retired in 1999 after 30 years of service. Gail is survived by her husband, Brian Madden; her son Oliver Euga of Santa Clara, CA, formerly of Winchester; her mother, Barbara Weber of Honolulu; sisters Paula Herr of Nairobi, Kenya; Celeste Roberts of Honolulu; Barbara Weber of Los Gatos, CA; brothers James and John of Honolulu; Mark of Gray TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father John Weber and her brother Victor. A celebration of life service will be held at the Waikiki Elk's Club on Feb. 19th at 1100 am, Aloha attire.
