Daniel Kalani "Danny" Kahoopii, 62, of Hono-kaa, Hawaii, a retired Hamakua Sugar Plantation welder, former White Sands Construction painter and an Army Reserve veteran, died in Hale Ho'ola Hamakua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Royene, sons Kyle and Chad, daughter Danielle Kainoa and four grandchildren. Celebration of life: 9 a.m. April 21 at Haina Baseball Park, Honokaa. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
