1932 - 2013 Piilani Irene Cotner, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Grapevine, Texas. She was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Waimea, Hawaii, to Enoch Brown and Lydia Low. She grew up in Oahu and Kauai, Hawaii. Piilani was a stewardess with Aloha Airlines and was Miss Kauai in 1955. She met her husband, Jack A. Cotner of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and they married in 1955 in Hilo, Hawaii. They were happily married for 58 years. Piilani was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was involved with the local Hawaiian Clubs of the Fort Worth-Dallas area. Survivors: Her husband, Jack A. Cotner had six children, Kalani, Nani, Nalei, Keaka, Kawika and Keoke; grand- children, Piilani, Kalani Jack, Kalani Antonio, Leinani, Lani, Kassidy, Kelson, Mya, Ela, and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Kalea and Kailani; sons-in-law, Antonio and Gonzalo; daughters-in-law, Charlsee, Lei, Tisha and Andrea; brother, Enoch Brown; sister, Emily Spaeth; her loving nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives.
