MARGARET “MAGGIE” KOCHIMARGARET MAGGIE KOCHI
Margaret Ann Kochi, 76, of Honolulu passed away on May 28, 2013. She was born and raised in Alabama but lived most of her adult life in Hawaii. She loved the islands, music, and the people of Hawaii. Maggie worked as the Sales & Marketing Manager for T.V. Systems and brought the product Tofutti to the islands. She also lived on the Big Island for several years where she was the Island Manager for Papillion Hawaiian Helicopters. Maggie was a devoted Christian with a big heart who was always there to love, guide, and support everyone she knew, and she never knew a stranger. Her many friends were part of her family and she cherished them dearly. Maggie is survived by her husband, Marquis Kochi; daughters, Pamela Glumack and Rebecca McClendon (Joe); son, Robert McClendon (Connie); grandchildren, Chandi Kiefer (Kris), Jason McClendon, Dillon McClendon, and Kylie McClendon; great-grandchildren, Kekoa and Makena Kiefer; sister, Sarah McClendon; sisters-in-law, Johnnie Williams, Nora Toma (Tommy), Nancy Kochi, Clara Kobayashi (Nobuo), Jane Eckenrode, Betty Nakahira (Shiro); brother-in-law, Ken Kochi (Judy), ten nieces and eight nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Oahu Cemetery, 2162 Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Service will begin at 5:00 pm.
