Lawrence Hatsuo Isobe, 78, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. government tax auditor at the Internal Revenue Service and an Army veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Kula, Maui. He is survived by wife Kyoung L., son Darren, daughter Jennifer Van Liew, sister Blanche Hess and three grandchildren. Private services.
