73Joseph Hookipa Kanahele, 69, of Kekaha, Kauai, a crane operator for Gay & Robinson, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Puuwai, Niihau. He is survived by hanai sons Sam Bastillos, Marcelo and Hookipa Bustillos, Lambert Kaohelaulii and Kauwila boy Pahulehua; hanai daughters Joann Figaroa, Connie Costineda, Hualani Duncan, Grace Kala, Ruth Kaohelaulii, Ella Kanahele, Gladys Kahale, Kahea Niau, Sally Bernaldes and Helena Corcoran; and sister Mileka. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Garden Island Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
