MYRTLE KAU'INOHEA BEAMER
1-5 MYRTLE BEAMERMYRTLE KAU'INOHEA BEAMER Myrtle Kau'inohea Beamer (April 28, 1925 - December 8, 2013) was born to Charles Gordon Kailipeleuli Hopkins and Myrtle Margaret Fernandez and was later lovingly adopted by Stephen William Wiechert when her mother remarried. Aunty Myrtle taught the Beamer style hula to generations of dancers at her Kailua, Oahu home for over fifty years. Her sweet disposition and graciousness was loved and appreciated by everyone that knew her, especially her in-laws, the Beamer 'Ohana. She is preceded in death by brothers Charles Gordon K. Hopkins Sr. and Carl Wiechert, son Francis Keali'inohopono Desha Beamer III, grandson Francis Keali'inohopono Desha Beamer IV, hanai son George D. Ferrara of Escondido, California. She is survived by loving husband Francis Keali'inohopono Desha Beamer Jr., son David Kailipeleuli Beamer, daughter Leslie Kau'inohea (Robert III) Tanaka, hanai son W. Bones Yuen, all of Kamuela, Hawaii, sisters Jean (Joseph-deceased) Kalani of Chula Vista, California and Angeline "Peewee" Locey of Anahola, Kauai; 10 loving grandchildren, 34 great grand- children, and 4 great great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces. She was a favored dancer of her mother in law and kumu hula Louise "Dambi" Beamer. Her home was always a beacon of aloha and hospitality to many and she will always be remembered with deep fondness and love. Memorial services will be held on January 18, 2014 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Kamuela. Visitation at 8:00 am and memorial services at 10:00 am.
