Hatsuyo "Carol" Sakata, 92, of Pahala, Hawaii, retired owner of Kau Express Inc. and a retired Kau Meat Market clerk, died at home. She was born in Naalehu, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Alan Kohara and Roy Sakata; daughter Lynn Whitmore; sisters Kokimi Takaki, Yuriko Prentice and Eloise Murakami; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
