Thomas M. Sumner, 91, of Honolulu, a retired Air Force officer, test pilot and 6594th Test Group commander, and space shuttle director, died in Honolulu. He was born in Louisville, Ky. He is survived by son Timothy, daughter Sheryl Zen Ruffinen, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services pending.
