JESSIE PANG LUM Jessie grew up in Waipahu in the family's Pang Kui Store. She quit school after the 8th grade to help in her parent's store and to care for her younger brothers. She married the late Robert Buck Ho Lum, and together they started Bob's Bakery in Pearl City. Upon his early death, she continued the bakery while raising their three children, Thomas, Aileen, and Marian, until her retirement in 1974. She was an active member of Pearl City Community Church and U.C.C. Judd. She took care of her grandchildren, traveled around the world, and played mah jong. In 1996, she moved to California to be closer to her daughters. She loved her family and was loved in return. Jessie drew her last breath with her family by her side, on Friday, May 30, 2014, at the age of 99. In addition to her three children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive her.
