74Charles Paul Kukilakila "Chapo" Thurston Jr., 58, of Kailua, a Thurston Pacific Inc. vice president, died. He was born in Greenville, S.C. He is survived by wife Kathleen "Kathy," daughters Tiffany T. Liftee-Kau and Tatum Beckett, mother Muriel, brothers Paul "Diggy" and Lawson, sister Linda T. Hoomalu and two grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Sunday at Kawaiaha'o Church. Services: 6 p.m. Scattering of ashes: 7 a.m. Monday at Kailua Beach; meet near Lanikai Boat Ramp. Aloha attire. Lei and loose flowers welcome.
