MASAE MORTON Masae Morton, 87, formerly of Wailuku, passed away on Sunday, August 24, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born in Wailuku, Maui. She is survived by sons Harry (Lee) Morton, Anthony (Elizabeth) Borge, and Michael (Dave) Borge; daughter Francine (Ronald) Uyesono; sisters Patricia Kawahara and Tomoe (Hideo) Takeuchi; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Masae worked at Peggy & Johnny's clothing store in Kahului and Snow White Laundry & Linen Supply in Wailuku before opening up Hinagiku Okazuya on Maui which she ran for many years. She was famous for her delicious "dry noodles." She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, and three siblings. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Visiting Angels Home Care and A Step Forward Hospice Care for their compassionate care and assistance. A private celebration of life and scattering of the ashes will be held at a later date.
