74William Ahyou "Papa Akau" Akau, 87, of Kawaihae, Hawaii, a retired harbor master for the state Department of Transportation at Kawaihae Harbor and a pilot boat operator, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Waiemi, Hawaii. He is survived by brothers Edward "Ala" Sr. and Solomon, and sisters Annie "Lani" Akau, Elizabeth "Rosie" Akau-Wilkins and Wilma Nance. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimea. Services: 1 p.m. Burial to follow. Casual attire.
