ALVIN INKY KEKOLO KAIO HANA HO"OHIWAHIWA Mr. Alvin "Inky" Kekolo Kaio, 59, Holualoa, Hawaii, died November 30 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Koolauloa, Hawaii on June 8, 1955, he was a construction laborer for Hawaiian Dredging and Construction Company and member of the Labors Union Local 368, and a long time lifeguard. A celebration of life and scattering of ashes will be held at 10 a.m. December 27 at Hukilau Beach in Laie, Oahu. Reception will follow at the "Family Taro Patch" in Laie, Oahu. Casual attire, loose flowers welcome. Kona Services will be March 7, 2015 10am at Kahalu'u Beach. He is survived by his wife, Gayle-Jon of Keopu, Hawaii; sons, Duke (Kazumi) Parker Kaio of Honolulu, Pono Kaio of San Diego, CA, Kaena Kaenu of Keopu, Hawaii; daughter, 'Anolani (Kahoali'i) Hanohano of Kapolei, Oahu; parents, Jacob and Gwen Kaio of Waimanalo; brothers, Jacob (Heather) Kaio of Waimanalo, Ka'ala (Andrea) Kaio of Waiehu, Oahu, David (Jeana) Kaio of Makakilo, Oahu, John Kaio of Waianae, Oahu, and Adam Kaio of Waimanalo, Oahu; sister, Sista (Cedric) Choy of Kaneohe, Oahu; sisters-in-law, Lei Niheu of Honolulu, and Angela (Patrick) Gomes of Keopu, Hawaii; 6 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
