Alvin Yutaka Nakashima, 72, of Waipahu, a retired electrician and machinist with The Honolulu Advertiser and former Air Force Special Forces commando, died in Honolulu. He was born in HonoÂlulu. He is survived by wife Carol, son Adrian K., daughters Alexis Kapulani McElroy and Johanna Kai “Jodiâ€â€ˆNakashima, brothers Dr. Rolland and Dr. George, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
