CYNTHIA LOUISE KEOLANUI IVERSON
CYNTHIA LOUISE KEOLANUI IVERSON Cynthia Louise Keolanui Iverson, July 26, 1960 - March 7, 2015. Cynthia was born in Ft. Benning, Georgia to Lawrence Keolanui and Christie Ellis Keolanui. As a military dependent, she lived in Georgia, Louisiana, Hawaii, Panama, Kansas, and Virginia. She graduated from Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia in 1978. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA in Communications. She was an intern at KITV- Channel 4 and went on to work at KFVE. After that, Cynthia worked at Encyclopedia Britannica, and BFI. In 1996 she started her own marketing business, Dream Brokers. For nine years, Cynthia was the manager of Community Outreach at the Hawaii Humane Society. In 2006, she started working at Hawaii Civil Defense Emergency Management as a Recovery Branch Chief. For many years she was a board member at The River of Life Mission helping the homeless in Hawaii. Cynthia was a devoted Christian, and she was an active member of Hope Chapel. That is where she met Bruce Iverson, and they married on December 2, 2006. Cynthia was a kind and generous person, with many friends and family who loved her. She died of cancer after a long and courageous fight. She is survived by her husband, her parents, sister Laura, brother Bob, and seven nieces and nephews. Cynthia's memorial service will be at Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay on April 11 at 10 a.m. The church is at 45-815 Pookela St, Kaneohe, HI 96744.
