March 9, 2015 Walter Panila “Boy” Kahiwa Jr., 66, of Captain Cook and Milolii, Hawaii, a retired educator for Kamehameha Schools and Ho­naunau and Konawaena middle schools, died in Pohai Malama. He was born in Napoopoo, Hawaii. He is survived by hanai son Ste­ven­Kalei  Kahiwa-Kakalia, hanai daughter SherrieBelinda Kahiwa-Kakalia, brothers Arnold and Keith, and sisters Brenda and Belinda. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Milolii Halau. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual attire. Lei and loose flowers welcome. Condolences: homelanimemorialpark.com.
