Alvina Napua Kawainui Schmidt Puaoi, 76, of Papakolea, died. She was born in Kalia. She is survived by daughters Stephanie Arakaki and Lurline Kawainui; stepchildren George, William, Geneallan and Mary-Ann Puaoi, Kapio Inoke and Nani Hill; hanai son Daniel Hoffman; sisters Kahili Norman, Kealohilani Heanu and Kaonohi Kaleikini; 26 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
