DANA LANGDON WALKER, DDS October 11, 1946 - April 8, 2016 Dana L. Walker was born on October 11, 1946, to Herbert and Hazel Walker of Beverly, Massachusetts. He attended Beverly public schools including Prospect Elementary School, Memorial Junior High School, and Beverly High School. He received a BA in Biology from Salem State College in 1968 and subsequently spent four years as a Corpsman in the United States Navy at Chelsea Naval Hospital and Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton. Upon honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry from 1972 to 1976 and graduated with a DDS degree. As a dentist, he returned to the Navy and enjoyed a career of travel and adventure up and down the East Coast and West Coast, with shipboard duty out of the port of San Diego, and overseas duty in Okinawa, Japan. In 1992, he found his true home with an assignment to Pearl Harbor and retired from the Navy to enjoy his tropical paradise. In 2005, with a desire to return to the Mainland, he relocated to Irving, Texas. He is survived by his family, Mr. Louis Walker of Irving, Texas, and his canine companions Mr. Samson, and Mr. Schwarz.
