Charles A. "Chuck" Allen, 79, a retired maintenance superintendent for the city Department of Parks and Recreation, District 2, and a retired Air Force first sergeant, died in Christus Hospice, San Antonio. He was born in Fort Edward, N.Y. He is survived by wife Helene; sons Todd, David and Michael; brothers Thomas and Gerald; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Inurnment to be held at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, at a later date.
