77Blossom Soon "Grandma B" Kahawai, 89, of Hilo, a retired secretary for Naniloa Surf Hotel and former Mayor Shunichi Kimura, an outside sales representative for Travel Professionals and a lei maker, died in Pohai Malama. She was born in Wailuku. She is survived by sons Alden K. and Lance Kahawai, and Edward Mahaulu; daughters Gwen Kekua, Paula Isabel and Lori Trumbo; brother Philip Soon Jr.; sister Goldie Tom; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation: 10 a.m. July 14 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire.
