81Mildred Teruko Akamine, also known as "Tetchan" and "Auntie Milly," 85, of Piihonua, Hawaii, co-owner of the former Dennis Place Restaurant in Hilo and a retired Sodexo Corp. grill cook at the University of Hawaii-Hilo cafeteria, died at home. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son Dennis; daughters Joni Tokuuke, Thelma Iwasaki and Patricia Oku; brothers Herbert and Harvey Yamada; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Aug. 15 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2, Hilo. Casual attire.
