She was formerly a food server at the Columbia Inn Restaurant in Kaimuki. She is survived by brother, Henry Shimabukuro, brother, Makoto Shima, and a sister, Naeko Niino. She had 2 daughters, Gail Yamashiro, and Iris Simpson, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Burial of the ashes will be at Hawaiian Memorial (Veteran) at 1:00 on August 26th. Service will follow at 4:00 at Grace Chapel of Honolulu, located in Aina Haina.
