96, of Honolulu, a retired teacher and director for the Head Start School at Harris United Methodist Church, passed away on December 8, 2016 at Kuakini Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son, Clinton K.; sister, Mary Chiyo Sukita; and daughter-in-law, Robin M. Inouye. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shigeru; son, Melvin F.; and daughters, Carol K.
