87, of Kahalu'u, O'ahu, Hawai'i, died in Honolulu on February 21, 2017. Born in Ka'u (Pahala), Hawai'i. A veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retired machinist from Pearl Harbor Shipyard Shop 31. Survived by wife Shirley C. M. Young (Ching) of 57 years; son Kevin Young and daughter in law Julia Whealin; daughters Jana (Dittmer) and Jodi Young; and two grandchildren, Troy Young and Tasha Young. Remains interred at Hawai'i State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawai'i.
