Saeko Tsutsui Whang
89, born on January 10, 1928, in Pahoa, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2017, in Honolulu, Hawaii, with her family at her side. She retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Licensing and Real Estate Commission where she worked as an administrative clerk. She then spent her time caring for her granddaughters, making new friends at her language / craft classes at Kaimuki District Park and at her morning socials at Kahala Mall along with keeping up with her Korean soap operas. She was predeceased by husband, David. She is survived by son, Russell (Lourdes); daughter, Rhonda (Rodney); sisters, Tomiye Kukino, Tamiko Nomura, brother, Shinichi Tsutsui, and 4 granddaughters, Shannon, Cori, Lauren and Haley. Visitation 1 pm, Services 2pm, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Hosoi Mortuary. Burial at Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific on Monday, March 20, 2017, 1130 am. Casual attire.
