ROSE SETSUKO OSHIRO “NANA ROSE”

Age 80, of Pearl City, HI, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 17, 2011. Born Nov. 20, 1930 in Pearl City to Magohichi and Taruko Akamine, she graduated from Waipahu High School in 1948. She retired in 1996 as the Shop Supervisor for the Pearl Harbor Uniform Shop after 45 years of service.

Rose was associated with many clubs: Tomigusuku, Gaza Yonagusuku, Takara Doshi Kai and the Waipahu YMCA.

Our beloved “Nana Rose” is survived by her son, Gordon N. and Gayle Oshiro; sister, Laraine T. Nishiyama; two grandchildren, Taryn (Masaaki) Oshiro-Nemoto and Brandon K. Oshiro; three great-grandchildren, Shaylee, Ethen and Dayton and nieces and nephews.

Visitation from 12:00 noon Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; services at 1:00 p.m. No flowers. Casual attire.
