JAMES KEITH RODRIGUES
54 of Kaneohe, lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully at his home on August 26, 2010. Born on Kauai on April 16, 1956, he was the son of Antone and Adelaide Rodrigues. He was a 1974 graduate of Kailua High School.
He grew up surfing Kailua and the North Shore, later he was an avid fisherman and boater. He was the former owner of the Kaimoku 2. He was a plumber, maintenance man and warehouseman.
James is survived by his wife Lauren Rodrigues, his sons Ryan Cheek and Nicholas Rodrigues and daughter Lindsay Gough (Dan). He is also survived by his brothers Robert (Eileen) and Francis (Leslie) and sisters Leona Bates and Adele Stamper. He is also survived by his grandchildren Royce, Romyn and Reyah Cheek; Rylen Gonda; and Dylan, Isaiah and Brennan Gough. He joins his parents in Heaven along with his grandson Wyatt Gough.
It is only fitting that he be returned to the ocean that he so loved. Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration of his life on September 3 at Kailua Beach Park (Lanikai boat ramp side) at 10:00 am. Aloha attire.
