RICHARD B. RODRIGUES
RICHARD B. RODRIGUES RICHARD B. RODRIGUES was born on March 23, 1932 in Honolulu, Hawaii and passed away on August 20, 2010. He was a former residence of Pauoa Valley from 1936-1954. Graduated from McKinley High School, class of 1950. Served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1953 receiving an Honorable Discharge. He was employed by the United States Post Office from 1956-1992. In his early career he served as President for the Kailua Post Office, local 5918, also as President for the Hawaii State Federation of Postal Clerks SFL-CIO-1967-1968. While employed by the Postal Service, he held the following positions: Letter Carrier, Window Distribution Clerk, Ad- hoc Hearing Officer/Investigator, Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, EEO Counselor, Affirmative Action Program Coordinator, Hispanic and Women's Program Coordinator. Member of Lodge Le Progres De L' Oceanie F&AM, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, SJ., U.S.A. Aloha Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Honolulu, also was a member of the Provost Guard Unit. He is survived by wife, Winifred W. Rodrigues, stepchildren, Christine (Robert) Takushi, Paula Ann Ching, Valerie (Marvin) Buenconsejo, Tracie (Michael) Ryan, Clayton and Clifton Ching, 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren and hanai sister Maxine Kahaulelio. Graveside services: 10:00 am at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary-Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe on September 10, 2010.
